Donations

I wanted to extend my thanks to all those who have helped us over the last three months. Had it not been for your generosity, we would not have survived. And most importantly, we would not have been able to be by Biggun's side. There are no words that can express how much it means to me that I was given that opportunity.

Our situation is not nearly as dire as it was. We still take it day by day and manage our money very carefully. Hike for Heroes recently assisted us by putting $2000 directly towards bills we owed, which was a huge relief for us.

If you are still interested in helping or donating, we most definitely need items to gear up for Biggun coming home. There are certain things we still need such as a baby swing, bouncer, walker, bottles, diapers, wipes, and any/all sorts of baby clothes. He is currently wearing 0-3 months.

Donations can still be done the same way - You can go to www.paypal.com and donate to the email rachelxkeslar@gmail.com. You can also go to any CHASE bank and put in a deposit to Joshua Daniel Keslar. Any questions you might have can be sent to the rachelxkeslar@gmail.com email address.

Again, thank you for all your support. You kept us alive and by our baby's side. I cannot thank you enough for that.

Hike for Heroes

Hey guys! Long time!

But it's because it's nothing but good news! Biggun is on room air, no tube, and they are just working on getting him to take a bottle! He is now a whopping 4 lbs 8 oz. and growing! I'm now able to hold him as much as I want and he is getting so big!
The word on his eyesight was that everything looked good. It appears the Avastin worked its charm and he will get that 10 degrees of vision in front. He may still need glasses, but if he can see, who cares?! Woo!

I wanted to make a notable mention of an organization that helped us through this crisis. As you all know, I quit my
job the minute the baby was born so that I could be close to him. As a result, it put us in a dire financial situation. They swooped in and paid for a months worth of bills for us to take the edge off our financial debt. We owe a lot to them and I wanted to say thank you. Their website is www.activeheroes.org so if you get a chance to see how wonderful they are, I recommend taking a peek.

Thank you to all those who have been with me through this. I pray everyday the worst is over, and so far it's working. I couldn't have done it without the tremendous support from everyone here and the outpouring of love we have received. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart.

Much Love,
Rachel and Joshua

  3. I'm still praying for you and your beautiful baby boy - hang in there. And whenever you have a chance, and we meet, I have a NICU made blanket I would like to donate to Baby Joshua Biggun - it made my son's NICU stay so good, and stayed on his incubator to the end... Hugs!
