Today was a rough day for Biggun. They confirmed the intraventricular hemhorrage level II officially and the doctor informed us they are continuing the Indocin to see if that finishes closing up the PDA. They monitor the bleed by doing measurements of head circumfrence for variations in head size.
He got another blood transfusion to work out the issue with his blood pressure, and his fluids are up a little, so they are giving him caffeine to try to get some of the liquid out. That one struck me as a little strange... Biggun being on morphine (to help keep him still on the ventilator), caffeine (but not the great Coka Cola kind) and Ativan (also to keep him calm, but not in a groovy way).
They went up again on the rate of his breathing on the ventilator. I'm not sure how much more they can go up with that. He'll get checked repeatedly through the night on his murmur to see where that is.
So keep your prayers in. I am hoping tomorrow morning fares better than this morning did, but if not, we'll come prepared.
Much Love,
Rachel and Joshua
Donations
I wanted to extend my thanks to all those who have helped us over the last three months. Had it not been for your generosity, we would not have survived. And most importantly, we would not have been able to be by Biggun's side. There are no words that can express how much it means to me that I was given that opportunity.
Our situation is not nearly as dire as it was. We still take it day by day and manage our money very carefully. Hike for Heroes recently assisted us by putting $2000 directly towards bills we owed, which was a huge relief for us.
If you are still interested in helping or donating, we most definitely need items to gear up for Biggun coming home. There are certain things we still need such as a baby swing, bouncer, walker, bottles, diapers, wipes, and any/all sorts of baby clothes. He is currently wearing 0-3 months.
Donations can still be done the same way - You can go to www.paypal.com and donate to the email rachelxkeslar@gmail.com. You can also go to any CHASE bank and put in a deposit to Joshua Daniel Keslar. Any questions you might have can be sent to the rachelxkeslar@gmail.com email address.
Again, thank you for all your support. You kept us alive and by our baby's side. I cannot thank you enough for that.

intraventricular hemorrhage level 2
When we came in, Biggun was back on the oscillator vent. He was given triple the dopamine for his size that he should have received, and he has a intraventricular hemorrhage level 2 bleed on his right ventricle.
We have a lot of unanswered questions right now, but please send us your prayers. They cant do anything about the bleed, and we hope it just goes away. We will not know long term effects until he hits developmental milestones.
Please send prayers
Much Love,
Rachel and Joshua
